Ankmar uses hot dipped galvanized steel to ensure the door has the longest possible useful life. In fact, we offer you a Manufacturers Lifetime Warranty on the 24 gauge door sections against splitting, cracking, and/or rust through and deficiencies in material and workmanship to the original purchaser for as long as you own the home in which the door was installed. We warranty the hardware for three years and the installation for one year.

How do I decide?

Your decision is based on your need for durabilty. A person who uses their garage door 3 times a day will have a need for a midline to high-end door. If you use your garage for strorage only, you would not need a high quality door unless it is your preference.

How long does it take to get installed?
We can offer immediate service because our distribution center is stocked with standard size doors in all colors. We carry the Standard Short Panel door, as well as, the Ranch Long Style panels in some sizes. We can even special order flush style panels with very short lead times. Because we stock all sizes and colors, we can usually provide same day installation. The installation which includes removal and disposal of your old sections and hardware and the installation of your new hardware and sections takes just a few hours.

Steel Door Features:

• Deep woodgrain textured raised panels
• Sections are formed from hot dipped galvanized steel for corrosion and rust resistance.
• Sections are painted with baked on polyester Finish coat over a baked on primer.
• Sections have tongue and groove meeting rails for superior strength and better sealing against the elements.
• Wide center and end stiles are formed from heavy duty 19 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel and are securely fastened to the sections.
• Rigid retainer secures U-shaped bottom weatherstrip for added strength and to seal the bottom of the door to the floor.

OPTIONAL FEATURES:
INSULATION- We can insulate our line of sectional steel doors with two inch vinyl backed polystyrene insulation, friction fitted with an R-6 insulating value. Additionally, we can provide a double steel insulated door which has steel on the exterior and interior with the insulation sandwiched in between. Our composite and custom cedar doors can also be insulated upon request.

PERIMETER SEAL- This door trim replaces your existing wood trim and is recommended when you select an insulated door. It is made of color matched vinyl and has an integral, flexible strip which seals your garage door against drafts, dust and insects.

NYLON ROLLERS- We can substitute ten ball bearing nylon coated rollers for steel. These low friction rollers come with a Lifetime Warranty and perform more quiet than steel rollers.

WINDOWS- We can install plain or decorative windows in your new door in various designs.

 Think of your budget versus the need for power and longevity. The size of your door and the frequency of use are determining factors. Whereas, all garage door openers will open most doors, not all have the same life cycle. Longevity should be a consideration when purchasing a garage door opener.

Does noise play a part in my decision?

Some customers have a need for a quieter opener. If you have a room above or directly next to the garage a beltdrive is recommended. If noise is not a factor, a chain or screwdrive model may suit your needs.

All openers are furnished with a one-piece rail, two remotes, deluxe multi-function wall button, and safety beams for your protection. All openers we install are ready-equipped with an auto-reverse feature.
